I don't tend to hear much about unions in the real estate / construction industries... do they stay on the DL, or are these industries just not the type that unions are attracted to?

Hmm. Good question, I haven't heard of any.

Probably because they're all illegal aliens!!!  Joking. You may find them in the real large construction companies... but I've never ran across it before.

Thats a good question.  I haven't recalled any either.  Lets not give anybody any bright ideas!

Obviously you guys haven't built in the Northeast! In some places (like New Jersey for example), you have to take that into consideration when bidding projects. The subs are all unionized - such as steel workers - so that has a big impact on construction costs.
